Ode Seamless floors are low maintenance. Periodic wiping, vacuuming and mopping with a damp cloth or mop is sufficient. The frequency is color dependent and of course personal.

If the Ode seamless floor is cared for in accordance with our cleaning advice, its functionality and appearance will be retained for a long time.

Never use an abrasive sponge or abrasive cleaner to clean the resin floor. The abrasive effect of this leaves a matte spot on the surface.

Ode resin floors were once developed for companies and industries. This means that an Ode floor is designed for very intensive use.
Due to the elasticity, the floor is scratch resistant, but no floor is 100% scratch-free. Over time, small scratches and/or smears will become visible in the top layer. This is inherent to the use of a floor in general and therefore also occurs with an Ode resin floor. We advise placing white felt under all furniture to prevent possible scratches. It is true that due to the tough elastic properties of seamless floors, damage is less visible. By keeping the floor clean, light damage is less noticeable.

By using high-quality natural color pigments, the Ode resin floors are 100% UV resistant, i.e. under the influence of sunlight, the Ode floor will not discolor.

We recommend use of carpets and mats with an underlay that is produced without dye. There is a chance that tannins, antioxidants, plasticizers, tannic acid and dyes are present in these rubber, wood and carpet products. These fabrics can seep into the floor and cause stains. To prevent a reaction on the floor of these fabrics, we recommend using felt pads under rubber, wood and carpet products.

An Ode resin floor offers good sound insulation: pleasant for yourself and your downstairs neighbors.
For apartments, a sound improvement of 10 dB is often required. An Ode resin floor offers good sound insulation. Ode has developed an acoustic underlay for apartments that meets 14 dB impact sound improvement. View the  Certificate-Ode Puur  and/or  Certificate-Ode Pasta.

Children can play on an Ode floor, because it feels soft and warm. An Ode seamless floor is also very easy to clean: mud, fruit juice, chocolate milk or food residues are very easy to remove. In addition, an Ode floor is much less sensitive to stains than other floors. A floor to live on.

Ode seamless floors are particularly suitable for people with allergies or respiratory diseases. This is the reason that many hospitals choose our resin floors. Due to its seamless character, an Ode floor is hygienic and easy to maintain. The sleek, smooth surface ensures the floor is free of hidden dirt or dust mites.

Safety is important to us. Ode resin floors meet the highest standard of fire safety, fire class T1.

An Ode resin floor is applied on a smooth surface, such as sand & cement, tiles, anhydrite, wooden floors finished with gypsum fiber boards. Every surface requires specific pre-treatment.

The Ode resin floor is ideal in combination with underfloor heating. The heat-conducting properties of the Ode floor ensure that the floor heats up quickly and therefore always feels comfortable. The faster warm-up time also results in lower energy costs.

An Ode floor is applied in liquid form and consists on average of 4 layers. The application of a seamless floor is labor intensive and the work must be spread over several days. Our own professionals need 5 days to apply the seamless floor.
After the last layer has been applied, the floor can be walked on after 12 hours and can take heavy weight after 48 hours.

Ode uses natural, non-rare raw materials. The renewable, responsibly sourced raw materials are based on biopolymers, extracted from plant seeds. Ultimately, we strive to work only with natural raw materials.

Furthermore, Ode does not use organic solvents and we work with water-based products.
Speaking of sustainable; Ode sustainable floors have a technical lifespan of about 30 years! A new layer can be applied to the existing Ode floor or, if desired, a different type of floor can be laid. In this case, an Ode resin floor is used as a subfloor and has, therefore, an indefinite life. That makes an Ode seamless floor very durable.
