Ode has been consciously involved with the environment and sustainability since its inception. Our resin floors are not only of high quality, but are also sustainably produced and applied.
We control the entire process; from development and production to the application of the seamless floor. The process is organized very efficiently according to the LEAN principle, so that there is as little waste as possible.
Ode uses natural, non-rare raw materials. The renewable, responsibly sourced materials are based on biopolymers, extracted from plant seeds. Ultimately, we strive to work with only natural raw materials.
The oil for the biopolymers of an Ode resin floor is extracted from the seeds of the Castor tree, Ricinus Communis (miracle tree). The plant originates from Africa, but is nowadays distributed across tropical areas around the world. The miracle tree owes its name to the fact that it grows very fast, 2 to 3 meters per year, and needs relatively little water to grow.
All Ode resin floors are free from volatile organic compounds, do not contain any organic solvents, are water-based and comply with the strictest environmental legislation.
Together with Bolidt’s R&D department, we continuously work on the development of products that are less harmful to the environment.
Ode makes a floor to measure. As a result, there is virtually no residual material. Is there material left over? Then this is brought back to the factory and recycled.
With Ode you also make an environmentally conscious choice. The plant-based polyurethane (PU) resin floors are not only made in a sustainable manner, but also last for years.
Looking for a new interior after a while?
Depending on the color, Ode seamless floors can be provided with a new 2-layer top coating. The floor does not, therefore, have to be removed in its entirety, unlike all other floor systems.
